What's Going On - Get Involved
In spite of what it may seem, there's still a lot of great people in the world doing awesome things. This is the place to find out about local events, contests, community outreach projects, and intersect with like-minded people to become agents of positive change in our communities.

The Unit Boot Camp
The Unit is a Dayton-based, volunteer-driven, community- focused fitness group that has been bringing positive change to the city since 2009.
The Unit provides FREE bootcamp-style workouts to members of the community, in a loose exchange for participation at various community service events around the city.

The Unit meets every Mon. and Wed. from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Riverscape, 237 E. Monument Ave. Dayton, OH.
CONTESTS
This is an opportunity to showcase your talents, win some money and help influence our culture with some POSITIVE vibes through the arts. That means we are looking for people who will help us bring back some honor and integrity to the arts.

Every few months we will be featuring a different contest and talent in 4 categories: spoken word, dance, writing, and musical artist.
​
Soooo....that means no cursing, twerking or bashing our beautiful woman through degrading lyrics. Capeesh?
​
So, tap into that creativity. Sing songs that make us feel. Choreograph dance moves that make us want to dance like no one is watching. Write spoken word that motivate us to engage in our communities.
Inspire us to change our world for the better.
Best Spoken Word Artist
This needs to be your own original piece. We are not looking for people to perform someone else's work.
This is your opportunity to tell us a story through poetry. It can be your own, someone else's or simply a chance to talk about something that's important to you.

Either way, take us on a journey into your world. Your ability to flow, engage the listener and creative lyrical skills will be what sets you apart.
