Join the Challenge
There's so much hatred, negativity and violence in the world, but it's AMAZING how a little act of kindness can have a HUGE ripple effect.

So, this is our challenge for you: Come up with creative ways to show kindness to your friends, family, neighbors, strangers, coffee barista....basically anyone who's breathing.

Then share with us your experience so we can tell others about it and encourage them to spread the kindness.

Send your written stories or videos to: support@peoplesvictory.org with "Random Acts of Kindness" in the Subject Line.
10 Ideas to Get You Started
-
Pay for someone's coffee or the person's order behind you at the drive thru.
-
Write a letter to 5 people telling them the impact they have had in your life and why you're grateful for them.
-
Buy gift cards and hand them out to random people....gas station attendant, grocery clerk, the guy who picks up your trash, receptionist at your doctor's office....and tell them this is to let them know you appreciate what they do. (It doesn't have to be big....a $5, $10, $15 or $20 gift card is enough to cheer somebody up on a rough day.)
-
Get together a group of 5-10 people or organize a day with your church or business to do a clean-up and/or beautify your neighborhood day. Pick up trash, trim bushes, plant flowers....etc. Afterwards celebrate with donuts, bagels or have a pizza party for everyone involved. Don't forget to take pictures! Everybody say cheeeese!
-
Next time you're out to dinner pick up the tab for the table next to you.
-
Offer to mow the grass, rake leaves or shovel snow for an elderly person or single mom in your neighborhood.
-
Bake cookies with your kids, then put them in a ziploc bag with notes of encouragement (Hard times don't last...Hope you have your best year ever.....Take time to laugh today....Good people do still exist....) and go with them to hand them out to people in your neighborhood, nursing homes, coffee shop, etc..
-
Write a sincere letter to someone you've been needing to apologize to.
-
Send flowers to someone for no special occasion or buy a bouquet of flowers and give them to a random person in the store and tell them, "Something to brighten your day."
-
Great activity to do on a hot day with your kids or friends. Put a sign in your yard that says, "Free Car Washes & Free Lemonade". For 1-2 hours offer to wash people's cars free of charge and drink a glass of lemonade while they wait. Afterwards have a cookout. (This is also a great activity to organize at schools to promote acts of kindness. Celebrate by having a party for the kids afterwards with snacks/treats that everyone brings in.)
We encourage you to go to our "Store" page and print off the free Random Acts of Kindness cards to hand out to people when you are doing these acts.
It helps promote what we are doing and hopefully encourages them to get involved and spread the love!
